Poly sulfide Sealant:

Polysulfide liquid polymer sealant which is mercaptan terminated, long chain aliphatic polymers containing disulfide linkages. They can be converted to rubbers at room terrperature without shrinkage upon addition of a curing agent.Polysulfide sealants are designed forjoints that need to withstand prolonged immersion in liquids. Sealing movement joints in building and civil engineering structures, including superstructures, reservoirs, floors, basements and subways. Polyurethane sealant

Polyurethane is an organic corrpound with particularly good moisture and corrosion resistance characteristics. Polyurethane sealant is useful in both industrial and commercial applications. Additionally, polyurethane is often used as a heavy-duty adhesive, as well as a coating. A polyurethane sealant may be pressed, layered, sprayed, or brushed onto joints, but the most comrmn method of application is with a caulk gun. The typical polyurethane sealant is hydrocarbon-based. With the advances in water-based polyurethane technology, however, effective water-based, or latex, sealants and coatings are now available. These products are noted for their low-odor, low-variable organic corrpound (VOC) content, and ease of application and cleanup.

Silicone rubbers are often one- or two-part polymers, and may contain fillers to irrprove properties or reduce cost. Silicone rubber is generally non-reactive, stable, and resistant to extreme environments and terrperatures from -55 °C to +300 °C while still maintaining its useful properties.
